Sony has launched an amazingly small series of laptops featuring Blue-ray drives and Sony claims the Vaio TT series to be the smallest laptop in the world with Blue-ray disk drives.
The new Vaio TT weights 2.87 pounds with a casing thickness under an inch which not exactly a miracle when there are razor thin laptops available on the market such as the MacBook Air. There are some nice features under the hood which grabbed our attention such as the built in mobile broadband by Sprint® Mobile. This feature could be a major edge for Sony Vaio as mobile broadband appears to be in high demand these days.

Sony Vaio TT Series
It features Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor (1.40GHz) with Centrino® 2 technology. It also has an HDMI port that outputs at 1080p resolution so all you need to do is bring home your favourite movies on Blue-ray, plug-in your HDTV cable in to your laptop and enjoy the full HD experience out of your tiny laptop. Although Sony claims to deliver the same through its tiny 11.1-inch wide-screen display featuring Sony’s XBRITE-DuraView™ LCD technology, which is supposed to deliver a 100 percent color saturation for a wide range of vibrant colors and true-to-life picture quality.
Another impressive feature of this laptop is the massive 256 GB Solid state drive (SSD) with RAID technology despite it’s feather light weight. The hard disk also uses a special dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2 ) technology which helps faster processing and data transfer.
You get a choice of Windows Vista® Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate and Windows XP Professional on the TT series. Prices for the Vaio TT start at $2000 upwards.
