My wife has the VGN-NW20EF/P and i have a lot of trouble seeing the screen as glare is almost mirror like. is there a solution to this ? or have i missed something. i need to position it so carefully to actually see the content, does not seem right to me…tried getting into the forum for the vaio club, for advice, but as a novice on computers,it seemed easier to launch a nuclear attack from a NASA space station, So i gave up…………….

Jeffery: Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. To be honest It shouldn’t be so bad, considering its a top brand. Try getting an anti-glare filter, just Google the term ‘anti glare filter for laptops’ and you’ll see a plenty of merchants selling the product.

I replaced my, fabulous but old, Sony Vaio with a new one. The screen glare on this new one is terrible. Sometimes I can only see a reflection of myself. I can’t use it anywhere except a darkish room and certainly not outside or anywhere in my house that has any natural light. I’m currently searching for a suitable anti-glare filter. Sony don’t seem to have the solution.
