total dissappointment, yes the actual case look and feel is great, but that is all, once again the shoddy dell just are so overated I have had 2 pc of dell and 2 of this laptop one replaced, all evetually failed and i treat my pcs with care, constantly I have had failed hard drive, thing just dont run properly and that is within months of buying it, its a disgrace dell get away with it, i will never touch dell ever again, they are the cheap throw away rubbish, never rely on them, and on top of that windows is just becoming a junk yard of failer as well. Im moving to a mac have 4 family members who got a mac and they will never touch anything else, they work perfect always.

A great laptop, had one from new 18 months now and not a problem with it. Still looks stylish, reat big screen and still really fast, cant complain.

Please, i will be happy if members and friends could help me with this technical problem. I have the dell studio 1737 with the above specifications listed on this page but I have a problem with the graphics (VGA) It didn’t come with any driver cds, and after installing windows vista 32bit, i downloaded the drivers using the tag number to enable me get the specific driver for my machine but after installation, the detected video memory is still 64MB but the total graphic memory is displayed 1310MB. thanks

Not impressed with this laptop at all I’m afraid. I have had/worked with Dell’s before and have all been great but when I got this Studio it turned out to be a real disappointment for me,
The harddisk broke within about 3 months and had to be replaced (simply booted up and got nothing, “No disks recognized”)

The keyboard is falling apart, I currently have tape holding a broken return key down and the shift, backspace and ‘]’ keys have to he tapped hard to register.

And now the hinges the screen pivots on seem to be getting loose, when I open and close the screen it wobbles everso slightly.

Not bad for a £450 laptop that I brought last July!!!

depends what info screen you are looking at, if it has to do with any drivers then go ahead and install, most of the components used in the variants 1537, 1535, 1737 are the same, check out getpcmemory.com for laptop drivers

Could you JUst rsolve or answer mY 1 tech Q?

wEll I just got a DELL NOTEBOOK WDL.
on the backside its stating that its a DELL STUDIO 1537.
bUt once on the inside PC info it states that its a DELL 1737 model incl.info.

Which specs should I follow??,
THANX for YOur swift response or PLEASE redirect me to another site for these answers.
