Dell Inc is the second largest computer technology brand after HP and estimated to have a net worth of 17.3 billion as of 2008 Forbe’s estimate. Dell was found was Micheal Dell in 1993 while he was studying at the University of Texas Austin. Until March 2004 Micheal Dell remained the Chairman of the company and later on made Kevin B. Rollins the president and COO of dell. Dell is considered the best laptop manufacturing company in the USA.
Dell today produces not only the top of the line laptops and personal computers but almost all computer peripherals catering to personal and business computing needs. Dell laptops excellent value for money and the advanced features to stay ahead of the competing laptop brands. The efficiency and affordability of Dell laptops has earned Dell a reputation of being amongst the most desirable brands in computing. Over the years Dell has constantly extended it’s product line making powerful laptops affordable for everyone. The majority of Dell users admire the ‘user friendly’ features of Dell laptops by having easy to use software and hardware controls coupled with Dell’s excellent customer service.
Dell currently produces two main types of laptops; XPS and Studio laptops series for the personal and home laptop user and the Vostro, Latitude Series laptops catering to professionals and businessmen offering high end performance and added mobility features. Dell also offers Inspiron Series of laptops which is by far the most popular range of laptops which is suitable for both; personal and business users.
