I have one for 2 years buyed from england. Came with vista was working ok & stayed good with the nvidia drivers from hp. When I moved to windows 7 & puted the latest drivers for the 8200 m g started warming up. Can even go to 80 degre while playing nfs world on medium. That it’s not such a big problem, the worst problem of the laptop is the wirlles. I don’t think they even made drivers specialy for the atheros AR5007 on Windows7. All drivers from compaq or coming thru Win7 update aren’t to good. And much wors on a WPA2 protected network. If you will try maximum download with a torrent client the network will fail & I’m not saying downloading with speeds over 1mb, abouth 700-800kb the network will fail. You will not be able to reconect with turning the wirlles off/on as you do it on vista, you will have to reset ruterr for the atheros to work again. And always insteed of atheros you will find Broadcom driver on the site, I saw this even on hp sites. And a third thing is that they said that windows 7 will increse the batery life is totally fals the batery will last half the time it did on vista, Win7 will even give you meseges like you need to change battery or pluged but not charging, this will disapear afther restart.

I personally have one thing against this laptop; all the fans are placed on the underside, so I always have to hang the left side of my laptop off the table so it can breathe, and more than once it fell down, and now it feels like it will fall apart any second.
