I ordered a product from this firm at the beginning of April. From the website, it appeared that the product was in stock, although I believe that the company simply fails to inform its customers of an item being out of stock. When I telephoned the company to check the delivery date they told me that they were out of stock, but were receiving new stock with a week. After the week had passed I called again, same story; they were receiving stock at the end of the week. I contacted the company on four occasions and got the same answer.

My credit card was debited on the day of the order. Concerned that I would lose my money, I contacted my credit card company. The advice that they gave me was not to cancel the order but to wait 30 days from the original date of order. After this period, if no goods had arrived, they could reclaim the money for me, and are in the process of doing so. Cancelling the order apparently changes the contract and can result in a longer delay in retrieving the money.

My recommendation is not to shop with Digital Empire Online.
