After much success with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Tablet Asus could be preparing to launch a second version to rival the iPad 2. According to experts the introduction of this new device can be expected as early as October 2011.

The firm which is widely known for breaking insider news on technology firms ‘Digitime’ has reported that the tablet has been planned to be produced in large quantities. Amongst the various supplier names emerging on the scene, ‘Hannstar Disply’ is another company which is engaged by Asus to manufacture touch panels.

The Asus Eee Pad has been an instant hit and it is currently one of the best selling gadgets online in the UK. We think that Asus has made a very smart move by keeping this tablet well in reach of the masses and adding optional extras which makes this product unique and innovative.

Asus may be a long way from stealing some iPad customers its way but at least they have figured out what their customers are after. The second version of the Eee Pad might have more advanced features which could further strengthen the sales for the company.
